Description:
|
Bechtler gold dollars were popular and circulated actively, and it is no surprise that some were abused during their lifetime due to widespread use. This example shows some gentle bends in the planchet, yet the legends are clear and the surfaces exude pleasing canary-gold color. With enough skill and patience, it's quite possible this thin gold coin could be straightened. Preservation seems to be in the XF/AU range.
