Lot Title:
1934-S NGC MS-64.
Description:
Neosho Collection. In any of the better mint-state grades, 1934-S stands as THE key to the popular version of the "short set" that encompasses about half of the Walking Liberty half-dollar series. Unlike typical soft strikes from latter San Francisco dates, this particular example displays strong definition and pleasing detail at Liberty's hand, along with radiant ivory-white luster. A tiny patch of gently grazed luster appears in the obverse right field, and one of the sun's rays displays a small tick, perhaps representing the grade determinants. (PCGS# 006594)

Only some counter marks are holding this high grade Dollar back from being a monster. There is no toning at all, and it is fully struck. This is a date that you just don’t see in high grades. |
