Lot Title:
1794 (LM-3, R.4) NGC XF Details/improperly cleaned/repaired.
Description:
Nothing akin to a "repair" can easily be found on either side, but the reverse does appear to have been heavily burnished, as if to remove the unwanted effects of encrustation. Nonetheless, some particles of stubborn green "stuff" can still be found embedded in the surface, though not to distraction. Though excessively glossy as a result, the coin is not entirely an eye sore and still can readily fill the needs of a type collector who desires to limit his expenditures. (PCGS# 004250)
