Lot Title:
1834 (LM-4) PCGS MS-64.
Description:
Medium-beige with some underlying brilliance, each sides bears an even layer of slightly opaque patina which may be modestly affecting the luster beneath. However, technical accolades include a needle-sharp obverse strike and surfaces that show no apparent marks at all. The bisecting obverse die-crack that occurs in later die-states shows as just a slender hairlike raised line beneath Liberty's chin on this example of LM-4. (PCGS# 004281)

PCGS suggests "cleaned" from their secret code, and while that may be true, it is far less horribly cleaned than many sitting in straight-grade holders right now. Lustrous to the tune of an AU-55... |
