Description:

Most likely a ground find, since both sides display significant porosity. The obverse surfaces have been smoothed to lessen undesirable effects and the reverse polished, but subsequent toning moderates the overly bright results. No doubt, NGC's "repaired" disclaimer references the smoothing process. (PCGS# 004250)
