(About The Images)
1884 NGC PF-66 RD. 1884 NGC PF-66 RD.
Lot Title: 1884 NGC PF-66 RD.
Description: Luster percolates through the glowing ember-red fields and accentuates the sharpness of central devices, especially the reverse which shows unusually strong delineation within the leaves of the wreath. These proof dies were a little aged and definitely would not produce much cameo effect, as can be seen by reflectivity visible in the lowest relief areas. Closer examination shows that there is some nice aqua-green and salmon iridescence gleefully playing around the devices. (PCGS# 002341)

1884 NGC PF-66 RD.
The obverse is stunning for the eminently well preserved copper-red color that dominates, enhanced here and there by a tasteful peppermint-blue accent, especially above the headdress and below UNITED....

1884 NGC PF-66 RD.
