Lot Title:
1885 PCGS PF-65.
Description:
Lovely molten gold patina bathes the entire coin and enhances the visual aesthetics. Light frost decorates all the devices and could warrant a cameo designation some lucky day, though the mirrors are not quite as deep as would be ideal for such a proof. Struck with needle-sharp precision, every single possible detail seems to be present, including full segments of the eagle's talons, as well as subtle texture between the stripes of the shield.
