Description:

Details easily meet expectations of XF, with strongly delineated strands of hair and drapery for Liberty's portrait. The eagle's feathers are really quite strong, with some flatness at the center of his motif. Corrosive effects may be seen at "ES" on the reverse, within some of the wreath's leaves and through NITE, and some previous cleaning attempts may have sought to help alleviate the problem, but the coin presents surprisingly well anyway. Let it spend some time in an album or a Kraft envelope so as to restore patina, and you should end up with a highly presentable early dollar. (PCGS# 006859)
