Description:

Concentric rings of dynamic album toning drape beautifully across both sides of this amazing, knockout very-gem proof. The bull's-eye pattern has exactly the incredible eye-appeal that numerous collectors aggressively pursue, and in conjunction with superb technical accolades, this is a coin that stands at the pinnacle of quality. Aqua-blue and velvety cyan dominate the rim area, progressing toward the devices through the proper sequence of teal, cobalt, cinnamon-gold and peach colors. The cameo effect is also exceptional, broken just slightly at the lowest depression areas by a tinge of reflectivity that does not detract in the least. Interestingly, the coin was struck from a rusty reverse die, as can be deduced by tiny raised bumps on the reverse. Only some very tiny, TINY (though possibly fairly recent) pinscratches on Liberty's upper arm deny numismatic perfection, but this is not nearly enough of a detraction to prevent designation of the Scotsman Cataloger's Choice award. Exquisite pieces like this just do not come along every day. (PCGS# 085570)
