(About The Images)
Lot Title:
1871 NGC MS-63.
Description:
Shining fields dazzle the viewer with silver brilliance as this coin is rotated beneath a light. Further observation reveals a semi-prooflike appearance with a hint of faint gold toning nudging the rims. Although generally well struck, the center of "LIBERTY" on the shield is curiously absent, replaced by interesting mint frost that would seem to imply an unfinished die.
