1798 Pointed 9, 4 Lines, Wide Date (B-22, BB-104, R.4) XF.

Description:
|
XF-40 or exceedingly close, details are sharp everywhere, especially in Liberty's long tresses and in the eagle's plumage, which is particularly well defined. Attractive salmon-grey patina has settled atop the high relief areas and provides adequate contrast against even iron-grey fields. A couple of trivial rim ticks amount to nothing by way of distraction, and there are no blemishes on either side, with a few ancient hairlines scribbled into the obverse upper left field the only noticeable defects. (PCGS# 040021)
