Description:

The "scratch" disclaimer references a thin near-vertical one on Liberty's neck, as well as a pair of even less obtrusive offenses on the shield's horizontal stripes. Individually, none would require special disclaimer, but as a group, they are thoughtfully noted. The coin is otherwise VF-20 or very close, with attractive original surfaces in general, aside from a quickly rubbed batch just in front of Liberty's nose. E PLURIBUS UNUM is about half complete... or incomplete if you are a pessimist. (PCGS# 006876)
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
