(About The Images)

Lot Title:
|
1835 (LM-10, R.1) NGC MS-63.
|
Description:
|
Evidently an earlier die-state for LM-2, for which a low "3" in the date aids attribution. Only the upper loop of the second "S" in STATES is filled, and there is a tiny die crack connecting "T" in the same word to the rim. Lavender-brown patina layers gently over the obverse, yet permits ready viewing of the luster, while the reverse is practically white and even more lustrous. NGC was forgiving of a minor pinscratch beneath the date, since the balance of the coin is frosty and practically free from marks.

1835 (LM-3, R.1) AU and 1837 (no stars) XF.

The bust half-dime displays hints of prooflike character. In the case of the seated half-dime, a small scratch should be noted on the reverse, but it doesn't disqualify it from earning a solid XF... |

1835 ANACS AU-55.

There is a ton of luster left on this just-barely-circulated Half Dime. There are no major blemishes, just a slight sign of wear. |
