Lot Title:
1835 (LM-3, R.1) AU and 1837 (no stars) XF.
Description:
The bust half-dime displays hints of prooflike character. In the case of the seated half-dime, a small scratch should be noted on the reverse, but it doesn't disqualify it from earning a solid XF grade. Two coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

Evidently an earlier die-state for LM-2, for which a low "3" in the date aids attribution. Only the upper loop of the second "S" in STATES is filled, and there is a tiny die crack connecting "T" in... |

There is a ton of luster left on this just-barely-circulated Half Dime. There are no major blemishes, just a slight sign of wear. |
