Lot Title:
1886 Type 1. PCGS PF-65RB.
Description:
At first glance, the appearance is much like a semi-prooflike business strike coin, since the aging dies produced a lot of cartwheel effect across each side. However, closer inspection reveals the pinpoint sharp delineation expected of a proof. Peach-orange dominates the obverse, glinting nicely from the modestly reflective fields, while the reverse is mostly consumed by a large navy-grey central area, illuminated at the edges by copper-gold tone.
