(About The Images)
1879 NGC PF-65 RB (no line). 1879 NGC PF-65 RB (no line).
Lot Title: 1879 NGC PF-65 RB (no line).
Description: Longtime residence in an NGC no-line holder assures stability of the color of this tantalizing proof Indian head cent. The olive-tan color is exquisite and reminiscent of earlier copper-nickel coins, tinged in the fields with veins of shimmering pine-green iridescence. The color is entirely consistent side-to-side and edge-to-edge save a singular spot next to the first "S" in STATES. All four diamonds are sharply incised into the ribbon as expected of a proof, and cameo contrast is perceptible on both sides. Simply a pleasing, delightful gem proof from the Don't Look Back Collection!
