Lot Title:

1889 and 1892 proof Indian-head cents, NGC "details only" problem holders.
|
Description:
|
NGC has designated both of these Indian head cents as "proof", but declined to assign a straight grade to either. The 1889 is designated as having "altered color", and though the hue seems a bit overly rich in general, the mirrors appear to retain natural reflectivity, and this is actually quite a nice proof type coin. 1892 is listed as "improperly cleaned", but hairlines are scarcely noticeable at all beneath dusky copper-rose and bluish grey patina. Two coin lot from the Don't Look Back Collection.

Incandescent hues of intermixed pastel blues and rose enrich this piece's obverse, peripherally. A couple microscopic toning specs are noticed while using a glass. A prominently struck issue. |
