Description:
|
Attractive smooth planchet quality is much nicer than the rough surfaces often seen available, and the color is pleasing as well, leading to the appearance of a very-fine coin with no problems. Careful examination leads to discovery of some of the nuances expected of the type, including a few unimportant tiny pits on the portrait, a small dull rim bump at the top of the obverse, and clashed die attributes common to the late die state. Although the surfaces have been lightly burnished, recoloring has led to reasonable looking pecan-brown with steely blue highlights. The reverse bears signs of several old scratches that have worn down to the point of being almost negligible. EAC 10.
