Lot Title:
1899 NGC MS-61.
Description:
Without doubt, the eye appeal is somewhat better at arm's length than the MS-61 grade assigned by NGC, as the borders are enhanced with appealing album toning, and there is no shortage of luster, particularly on the reverse. Magnification is required to discover the mildly abraded surfaces of Liberty's portrait, though the reverse clearly grades at least two points higher than the obverse.
