Lot Title:
1899 NGC MS-65
Description:
It is some remarkable coincidence that your cataloger is reviewing this coin on Independence Day, as an extensive selection of colors embellish this stunning Barber half-dollar with predominantly patriotic hues! The obverse features greyish-white centers that develop reddish highlights near Liberty's cap, and the entire obverse is surrounded by glimmering sea-green and blueberry iridescence. Amazing! Even more splendid ocean-blue and evergreen iridescence drenches the reverse periphery, enclosing a wide, glowing cinnamon-gold central area. A truly fantastic coin that will appeal to color aficionados - particularly those of a patriotic bent. From the Stallion Gems Collection.
