(About The Images)
Two Half Dimes. Two Half Dimes.
Lot Title: Two Half Dimes.
Description: This delightful pair consists of an 1840 "No Drapery" in AU-58, and an 1856 in AU-50. The 1840 without drapery piece is considered by many collectors as being distinctive within the Variety 2 "Stars on Obverse" designation. It is fully struck and lustrous, with traces of russet tones and a couple minuscule rim ticks on the obverse. The 1856 "Stars on Obverse" example is a complementary companion, being sharply struck and displaying a delicate russet aspect.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
