Lot Title:

1844-C Coronet quarter-eagle, NGC XF-45
|
Description:

The 1844-C a difficult issue, with most examples displaying production problems of one kind or another, yet the present coin is surprisingly free of any planchet issues. Indeed, this coin is pleasantly smooth and trouble free overall, with only the usual soft strike quality being of detriment, and the originality is excellent, judging by the classic green-gold cast.
