Lot Title:
1849-C Closed Wreath. ANACS XF-45 Details Damaged Bent.
Description:
This Liberty Head, Charlotte Branch Mint specimen has a recorded mintage of 11,634. It is estimated that slightly more than 150 are extant, making it a very desirable date. There are several small indentations perceived on its obverse, while on the reverse a scrape appears to the left of the numeral "1." Despite these shortcomings, this russet-orange example remains a scarce issue in all grade levels.
