(About The Images)
1915-S AU-55. 1915-S AU-55.
Lot Title: 1915-S AU-55.
Description: This Buffalo is steel gray in color with incandescent hues of rose. Full horn detail can be observed on the reverse. Only a small bit of wear is holding this coin back from a Mint State grade.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

Low Estimate: $260.00
High Estimate: $320.00

1915-S NGC MS-64.
1.5 million nickels were coined at San Francisco in 1915, and while that is not a severely limited emission, better uncirculated examples are prized by collectors, placing this issue near semi-key...

1915-S NGC MS-65.
This is a dynamite representative of the 1915-S Buffalo nickel, a substantially difficult issue at the gem grade level or higher. The vintage surface quality cannot be questioned, as the...
366The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$600.00
1915-S PCGS MS-63.
Typical strike deficiency is responsible for weak central details, though the bison's horn is fortunately well defined. A fairly pronounced yellowish cast tints this piece, and the eye appeal is just...
500The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$675.00
1915-S Buffalo nickel, ANACS MS-62
A luminous amber glow smolders from both sides of this somewhat difficult early mintmarked buffalo nickel issue. The patina shimmers nicely under a good lamp and invokes the imagery of rainbow...
