Description:

1842-C is a date missing in some of the most eminent collections of branch mint gold. This Large Date variety has an estimated production 23,589 from one die pairing that was put into operation in March, 1842. An appropriate representation from this prized southern mint that exhibits copper-gold surfaces. Some surface marks are apparent, and they too have assimilated the same overall coloration of this aesthetically pleasing circulated specimen.
