Description:

Collector appeal: "C" for the average grade range estimate of VG to Fine. Generally well-matched coins are greatly responsible for terrific eye-appeal for this collection, as there are hardly any heavily worn examples, nor do any really fall much above the aforementioned range. Eye-appeal will immediately improve upon inclusion of a 1913-S type-1, as it is the only missing regular issue, and cleaned coins that require easy replacement are 1915, 1915-D,1916-S, 1917-D, 1919, 1919-S, and 1921. Some of the tougher issues list as follows: 1913-D type-2 (VF), 1913-S type-2 (G and one of the lowest grade coins in the entire set), 1914-D (Fine or better), 1915-S (about Fine but a bit corroded), and the 1924-S and 1926-S both appear to be VG or so.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
