Lot Title:
Complete set of Mercury dimes in a Whitman 9413 album.
Description:
Collector appeal: "B" for the average grade range estimate of Good and up. 1916-D only grades AG-3, but could be the poster-coin for that grade. This set also has a 1942/41 representative with VF detail, but it has been well-cleaned for a net value of perhaps VG, although it is the only example in the whole set that has obviously been abused. 1921 and 1921-D actually grade Good, which is unusual for a basic, entry-level Mercury dime collection.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
