Lot Title:
1786 Connecticut, Small Head Right PCGS VF-30.
Description:
Honey-brown overall with pecan accents on the higher relief areas. Limited portions of the planchet display worked-in verdigris, which is of course very common for Connecticut coppers, as small voids were inevitably present in almost all planchets prior to striking. The obverse and reverse were centered very well on a nice sized flan for this colonial type, permitting an absolutely complete run of dentilation on both sides, as well as strong peripheral legends and the date, of course. (PCGS# 000325)
