Lot Title:
1787 Nova Eborac, seated left PCI VF-30.
Description:
We agree that the VF range is a suitable assessment for this lovely chocolate-brown Nova Eborac, though splitting hairs for a series struck as crudely as this was may not always be the most appealing exercise out there. The obverse was centered well enough to accommodate all the legends as well as the date on the reverse. Delicate salmon-brown iridescence layers atop some of the highest details, but the overall impression is that of a chocolate-brown copper. (PCGS# 000478)
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
