Lot Title:
1945-D PCGS MS-67 CAC.
Description:
Berry Tree Collection. 170 graded MS-67, zero higher (9 pluses) at PCGS. 1945-D has earned the reputation as a common date, which makes sense given an original mintage of basically ten-million coins and numerous examples even surviving in original uncirculated rolls. However, as usual for the case of grade-rarities, scarcity becomes apparent in the loftiest grades. None has surpassed this numeric MS-67 level at PCGS, and this one has even earned a CAC sticker. Putting a loupe on the coin reveals pretty much every possible vestige of the quality expected. Zero obvious abrasions come into view, and the surfaces benefit from secure, undipped pristine preservation that allows the luster to take advantage of maximum flowline activity. Denver coins seldom suffer bad definition, and this one affirms a very good strike. (PCGS# 006625)
