Lot Title:
Pollock-3242: (1860) Dime Uniface Die Trial (obverse), copper, PCGS.
Description:
Avant Garde Collection. Plate coin for both Judd and Pollock. Related to the half-dime hub trial listed elsewhere, there is no date included. It would be interesting to view this piece outside the slab, as the varying sharpness of the impression implies a tapered planchet, with detail to the upper left much stronger than that toward the lower right. PCGS MS-60 BN, R.9 (apparently unique).
