Lot Title:
Judd-339: 1863 Half Dollar, copper, PCGS (rattler).
Description:
Avant Garde Collection. The obverse appears to be struck from dies identical to those used for the regular issue half-dollars of 1863, while the reverse differs in that a scroll above the eagle's head states "GOD OUR TRUST". Struck with tremendous accuracy, the reverse display extraordinary sharpness by comparison to even proof strikings of the regular series, with the eagle's talons showing amazingly well delineated segments in eagle's talons. PCGS PF-64 RB, Rarity 6. (PCGS# 070501)
