(About The Images)
1851 NGC MS-66 BN. 1851 NGC MS-66 BN.
Lot Title: 1851 NGC MS-66 BN.
Description: The BN designation properly conveys the ideal medium-brown patina that dominates both sides, yet one would be remiss in failing to notice that there are traces of fiery mint red clinging to the devices. More pertinent to the terrific eye-appeal, wind milling cartwheel luster sweeps readily about both sides, and imparts considerable liveliness for the lucky high bidder. Truly spectacular in terms of technical excellence, very minor carbon spots fleck here and there around the first digit of the date and between the letters in ONE. (PCGS# 001892)

122The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$475.00
1851 PCGS MS-64RB.
This seems to be a completely original large-cent whose color has not been "helped", and the reverse borders upon being fully red. About two-thirds of the obverse mint red remains, leading to the...
123The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$2,400.00
1851 PCGS MS-66 RB.
Irrepressible "very gem" quality will appeal to any collector, whether looking for a type coin or a top flight addition to his date set of large-cents. About a third of the original, smoldering mint...
252The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$450.00
1851 PCGS MS-64BN.
This lovely example still retains tinges of red amongst the devices, stars, and date. A few speckles are, for the most part, mentioned for accuracy on this lustrous issue with exemplary central...
