(About The Images)
1851 PCGS MS-64RB. 1851 PCGS MS-64RB.
Lot Title: 1851 PCGS MS-64RB.
Description: This seems to be a completely original large-cent whose color has not been "helped", and the reverse borders upon being fully red. About two-thirds of the obverse mint red remains, leading to the "RB" color designation. Carbon spots affect both sides but mostly the obverse, and help to remove consideration for upgrade to a "RD" designation, but only one spot is conspicuous, adhering to Liberty's coiffure beneath the hair bun. Unattributed but likely EAC 62 quality.
Low Estimate: $350.00
High Estimate: $450.00
Lot Status: Bidding has been closed for this lot.
Hammered Price: $475.00

1851 PCGS MS-64BN.
This lovely example still retains tinges of red amongst the devices, stars, and date. A few speckles are, for the most part, mentioned for accuracy on this lustrous issue with exemplary central...
