Lot Title:
1936 Doubled Die Obverse, Type 3, PCGS MS-66RD.
Description:
12 graded MS-66 RD, none higher at PCGS. Type-3 is THE premier doubled-die of several known for 1936, and PCGS has placed very few at this grade level, with this amazing example showing undiminished full mint red bloom and extraordinary detail. Doubling can be discerned on essentially all the obverse design elements, but most plainly at IGWT and at the center of LIBERTY. A blazing brick-red gem. (PCGS# 072650)

This Lincoln Cent has rich color with nary a spot. The devices on the reverse show a bit of cameo look. The only negative is that the holder has some scratches. A little dab of Brasso should clean... |
