Lot Title:
1939 and 1942, both NGC PF-66 RD.
Description:
Clem Stevens Collection. That both coins are red is beyond doubt, although the 1939 displays deep, attractive hints of burgundy, while 1942 shows medium copper-orange patina. Interestingly, at the same grade, the latter coin tends to show stronger results in past auction and sales records, with but a single example graded better, while 1939 sees 27 higher graded examples (at NGC). Two coin lot.
