Lot Title:

1920 PCGS MS-65.
Description:
82 graded MS-65, 14 higher at PCGS. In many series, Philadelphia coins for various issues far outnumber branch-mint examples at the same grade, but that is not necessarily the case for early Walking Liberty half-dollars. Few 1920 halves exceed the premium quality offered by this pearlescent, satin example, and the strike offers decent precision for a coin frequently seen poorly struck. Accents of molten gold splash up against the obverse left rim, and while the balance of the surface shows consistent, smooth original patina. (PCGS# 006580)
