Lot Title:
1835 half cent, and an 1803 large cent, as described.
Description:
7070 Collection. Though not technically perfect coins, both offer substantial details and rather favorable eye-appeal in this pair of early copper pieces. An 1835 half-cent shows strong AU sharpness but also has a turquoise-green cast overall that cannot be original. Accompanying is an 1803 large-cent that has details right on the cusp of XF-40, but glossy copper undertones suggest it has been cleaned or carefully burnished at some point. Two coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
