Lot Title:
1804 (S-266, EDS) PCGS Genuine (VF details/scratches/code 98).
Description:
Natural Classic's Collection. No cud above RTY, and indeed, there is absolutely no sign of any die crack above LIBERTY or AMERICA, which makes this a "prime" early state S-266. The reverse shows 30 degrees rotation. There is no denying the presence of several rather bizarre lengthy scratches on both sides, and they must have occurred shortly after production as they are somewhat smoothed by the effects of forty points in circulation. On a positive note, this scarce cent features amazingly nice, glossy chocolate-mahogany patina that looks so nice as to be out of place in a mere "genuine" holder. (PCGS# 001504)
