Lot Title:
1896-S, 1902-O, and 1906-O, AU/cleaned.
Description:
Somewhat better dates comprise this trio, but there are caveats to be considered. These half-dollars can be described as follows: 1896-S (AU/cleaned, partially retoned), 1902-O (AU/cleaned, although considerably recovered with medium grey patina), and 1906-O (AU/lightly cleaned). Three coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1896-S AU-prooflike/cleaned.
The 1896-S Barber half is known for prooflike examples, and this near-mint survivor flashes considerable as-struck reflectivity in the fields, especially on the obverse, as well as distinct contrast... |

437 | The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009 | $525.00 |
1896-S AU/cleaned.
Details remain very near mint-state in spite of a light touch of wear, but surfaces are a little cloudy from having been lightly cleaned. Off-white and lacking patina. |
