Lot Title:
1853 and 1854 Liberty Seated dime, plus an 1844 half-dime, all AU.
Description:
Gorgeous, original album toning automatically makes the 1844 half-dime highly desirable, compounded by terrific luster right at the AU level. On top of that, this is FS-301, Breen-3035, the well-known strong repunched date. Nice! Also included is a pair of dimes, the first an 1853 "arrows" that has attractive AU luster, moderate obverse toning and a touch of color on the reverse. The 1854 is a slider AU/UNC with light pastel toning and a highly attractive appearance. Three coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

A vanilla-grey gem that displays subtle frosty luster and a strike much sharper than average for the issue. Many 1853 dimes were struck off of dies that clashed repeatedly, limiting their technical... |
