Lot Title:

1805 (C-4) Large 5 - Stems VF-25, 1805 (C-4) Large 5 - Stems XF-45, and an 1806 (C-1) Small 6 - Stemless VF-30, all PCGS.
|
Description:
|
Both of the 1805 half-cents are attributed as C-4, but the disparity in grade is obvious. That graded XF-45 has very sharp details and even hints of luster to accompany mahogany-brown patina, but three blunt linear marks on the portrait require mention. The VF-25 displays exquisitely original patina. The 1806 C-1 is marvelous and free from any problems. Three coin lot.

1805 Large 5 - Stems (C-4, R.2). PCGS XF-45.

The large "5" touches the drapery, with stems on the reverse, and for die-state II, the chip in the left field clearly visible. Superior quality for a commercial XF-45 grade, with a fine, clean... |
