Lot Title:
1905 NGC PF-67 CAMEO.
Description:
Stunning arctic-white texture completely frosts the devices and offers formidable contrast with the pure liquid fields. An iceberg floating in the center of a pristine lake could scarcely offer better contrast! This is an incredible "superb gem" that is just about as fully struck as a Barber dime can get, without even the slightest smidgeon of softness evident anywhere. It is difficult to imagine a more pristine proof type coin, barring elevation to the UCAM level. (PCGS# 084889)

Though not particularly hairlined, this dime lacks the vibrancy expected of proof Barber coinage, and the dull mirrors suggest a prolonged dip. One minute abrasion can be seen near the top of... |
