Lot Title:
1880 PCGS PF-65CAM.
Description:
Surface quality is utterly pristine, with not a single carbon spot on the obverse, and only a tiny one on the reverse. The cameo effect is technically only average, but benefits from a peach-gold color scheme that placidly emanates outward from the centers, never quite reaching the rims. Unlike many proof struck early in the series, this 1880 displays marvelous sharpness, and none of the die crack problems that are frequently seen. A superb choice for proof type. (PCGS# 083835)
