(About The Images)
Three Bust half-dimes and eight Seated half-dimes. Three Bust half-dimes and eight Seated half-dimes.
Lot Title: Three Bust half-dimes and eight Seated half-dimes.
Description: A few problems are noted within this group, but there are some nice half-dimes herein. They are listed and attributed as follows: 1830 LM-2 R.3 (XF, minor scratch on cheek), 1831 LM-6 (AU/reverse corrosion/cleaned), 1835 LM-8.X (XF), 1840 (XF), 1845 (XF), 1853 arrows (AU with interesting planchet striations), 1857 (XF), 1858 (AU with attractive color and a really nice die clash), 1858 (XF), 1859 (AU/lightly polished), and 1871 (AU SPL with album tone). The die-state for 1835 LM-8 is described but not plated in Logan-McCloskey, with the die crack between "ED ST" prominent on the reverse, but connected to an additional crack at T1, forming a nice retained cud. Eleven coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
