(About The Images)
1897-S PCGS MS-64. 1897-S PCGS MS-64.
Lot Title: 1897-S PCGS MS-64.
Description: Either side provides a remarkable impersonation of proof quality, with moderately textured devices that contrast well with strongly mirrored fields. Naturally, the prooflike character unfairly amplifies any small distraction, thus the MS-64 grade almost seems a bit high under magnification. However, the reality is that all contact marks seen are minor, and when grading by proof standards, the numeric "64" holds up rather well. Virtually pristine with a tinge of steel-blue tint in the fields.
