Lot Title:
1902 NGC PF-65.
Description:
At the gem proof level, a couple of hairlines or so are permissible on both sides of any coin, and in this case, two parallel lines of extreme thinness can just be seen crossing Liberty's face. The reverse displays a smallish abraded circular area just below "M" in DIME, but no other noticeable defects. A die crack can also be seen attached to the reverse rim at 10:00. While a CAM designation is likely not in the future for this silver-white proof, fields are distinctly mirrored behind mildly frosted devices on both sides. Exceedingly well struck, of course, and ready for placement in a high-end proof type set.
