Lot Title:
1917-S Obverse. PCGS AU-58.
Description:
Each side is bathed in champagne-beige patina that has minimal effect on the underlying luster. The 1917-S with mintmark on the obverse is a well-known scarcity in the series, with all examples above the VF level considered difficult by specialists, and AU examples are particularly in demand. Scant wear touches this AU-58 example, and any collector putting together a challenging AU/BU set will see an obvious opportunity here.
