Description:
|
Washington's portrait nearly fills the obverse of this large planchet "Success Token", although the strike is off-centered just north a little, resulting in an optical illusion of a small planchet. In fact, a die break extending from the nose confirms attribution of the large sized planchet. A silvered example, very little wear is discernible, although the Eye of Providence at the center of the reverse is poorly defined, as usual. A large fingerprint overlays the right field.
