Description:

From almost any viewing angle, a pleasing earlier coronet quarter-eagle. Flashy luster is reminiscent of prooflike pieces, and details are sharply impressed. Almost eluding detection is a planchet flaw in the obverse far right field that has been skillfully tooled, but most unfortunately so since the original flaw would have been even less distracting than the tooling effort.
